Hello :)

I am Kiruba, a plant scientist, science communicator and sustainability based in Ireland. Currently in my final year of PhD in Plant & Agribiosciences at the University of Galway.

My journey spans across countries like India, Germany, Ireland, and Poland, research environments, and public engagement spaces has shaped how I see science: not just as knowledge created in laboratories, but as something that should be shared, understood and connected to society.

Through my research, the work with Pint of Science Ireland, technical writing, and sustainability initiatives, I aim to make complex scientific ideas accessible, engaging and useful for diverse audiences. I am particularly interested in the intersection of research, communication and sustainability, where scientific discoveries can inspire informed action and positive change.

Whether I am conducting research, creating science communication content, engaging with communities, or promoting sustainable practices, I am driven by the belief that science has the greatest impact when it reaches beyond the laboratory and connects with people.
